In version 4, Ephere has primarily improved performance, the brush tools and dynamics, and added a new preset system.
Ornatrix can be used for modeling, animating and rendering hair, feathers and fur in 3ds Max; it is intended to be very artist-friendly to use, allowing hair to be placed in just a few minutes and controlled with brushing. Artists can refine grooming with a set of procedural hair operators and presets. The simulation tools used to control hair movement work closely with the 3ds Max animation pipeline. When rendering, Ornatrix supports all rendering tools.
