Giving 3D objects the right texture is a lengthy process: shaders have to be created, texture nodes added, properties linked and parameters set correctly. Once that is done, you can do everything all over again for the next object. BlissLib automates these steps.
With the software, artists can create their own shader libaries with individual parameters—no matter how complex. They can draw on a variety of preset textures that build up interactively during rendering. The user interface is designed simply for quick browsing of the shader library. Various material examples for RenderMan and Mental Ray are already integrated.
The team at LollipopShaders gave the software its finishing touches and used it to write their Renderman RIS100 Library. Their website also offers a free library sample with 20 presets for download.
Here is the download for BlissLib and the installation guide.
BlissLib has already been tested with Renderman RIS, Mental Ray and Maya; it supports Maya 2014, 2015 and 2016.
