Digital Anarchy mit neuen Produkten

Digital Anarchy announced the release of Psunami and Aurora Sky for Final Cut Pro.

These packages give Final Cut Pro users the ability to easily create realistic natural phenomena. Psunami is a tool for creating photorealistic, ray-traced water simulations and other 3D effects and Aurora Sky creates photorealistic skies and clouds.

The release of the two packages brings the number of plugins that Digital Anarchy makes for Final Cut Pro to four. The other two being Elements of Anarchy: Text and Gradient! All packages are available under both OS 9 and X.

Water And A Whole Lot More: Psunami for Final Cut Pro is primarily designed to create water simulations. This can be used to create both above the water surface and underwater effects and scenes. However, due to the sophisticated controls for texture mapping and geometric displacement, many other 3D effects can be achieved. Users have the ability to use multiple images or movies to displace or texture the 3D mesh that Psunami creates water from. The water simulation can be turned off and the displacement and texture mapping can be used to extrude logos, create landscapes, let a camera fly through

geometry, and many other 3D effects.

Of course, it can be used to create beautiful 3D water simulations. This is the effect it’s famous for, having been used in numerous feature films. It’s also what’s garnered the plug-in several awards, like the Innovation Award from CGW magazine.

Creating Beautiful Skyscapes: Aurora Sky for Final Cut Pro gives users the ability to create sky and cloud scenes. The clouds can be shaped using grayscale movies or images and textures can be applied directly to the clouds. This enables words or shapes to emerge from cloudy matter, skywriting, projection of images onto the clouds, or any number of other effects. Aurora Sky can also create truly volumetric clouds, allowing the camera to fly through thick clouds.

The lighting is equally sophisticated, making it easy to adjust the time of day or even creating otherworldly effects. There are two ‘suns’ available for use in creating dramatic lighting effects. You can also create a tracking layer so that other filter packages, like the Knoll Light Factory, can be easily composited with the Aurora Sky scenes.

It’s A 3D World: Both Psunami and Aurora Sky operate in 3D space. This allows you to move your camera, clouds, and waves in all directions and create the effect of actually moving around a real world. Whether it’s flying through the clouds or creating the viewpoint of a rowboat as it rides the waves up and down,

the 3D capabilities add that extra dimension of realism.

Pricing and Availability: The list price for Psunami is $149 and for Aurora Sky it’s $129. Special introductory pricing is $129 for Psunami and $99 for Aurora Sky. You can also get both together for $198. Demo filters, manuals, sample movies, and tutorials can be found at www.digitalanarchy.com. All prices are for the downloadable version of Psunami with a PDF manual.

Both products are available immediately via the Digital Anarchy web store. Psunami is also available for Adobe After Effects and Discreet Combustion.Aurora Sky is also available for Adobe After Effects.
