Digital Broadcast Systems (DBS), Oberursel, is taking over distribution and support for Stop Motion Pro, a stop-motion animation solution for Windows 2000 and Windows XP from Australia.
The software is intended to enable any user with a PC and a digital camera to produce animated films and animations in high quality. Stop Motion Pro was designed specifically for implementing traditional animation techniques such as clay animation, cutout animation or time-lapse animation.
“We are very pleased to have found in DBS one of Germany’s most capable systems houses in the field of cartoon animation,” explains Ross Garner, one of the fathers of the Stop Motion Pro software and co-founder of the software company of the same name. “DBS brings many years of experience in animation and will from now on take care of the direct support of our existing and future customer base in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”
Stop Motion Pro is available in four feature variants. While the professional “SD” (289 euros) and “HD” (599 euros) versions are tailored specifically to the needs of film and television producers, the “Educational” version (149 euros) is intended to cover the training needs of future animators at universities and schools. In addition, the “Junior” version (69 euros) is a variant intended to appeal especially to ambitious hobby animators.
