Cinital of Cambridge, Massachussets has presented Previzion HD Studio, a solution for virtual studios. The software-hardware combination integrates the entire visual-effects pipeline required for this in one package.
Cinital counts 3D camera tracking, live video I/O, keying, rendering of 3D backgrounds, compositing and realtime color correction among these. Previzion is intended to offer exact matching of live action in the foreground with computer-generated backgrounds.
So far, Cinital’s Previzion HD Studio is available only for the Windows platform. The manufacturer is planning a Linux version for next year. The price is 45,000 dollars.
