A decision could be expected at the end of February at the earliest, Wolters clarified. At present there could still be no talk of a move to the Rhine. It was correct that the contract between BIU and Leipziger Messe would expire in 2008. This circumstance is arousing desires among trade-fair companies nationwide. Cologne, among others, but also Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt/Main, have applied more or less openly to host Europe’s largest games fair.

The decision for or against Leipzig is currently one of the hottest topics in the industry.
