Five new features in TIM-RS

Fischer Computertechnik is showing the new version of the XML editorial and content management system TIM-RS at the tekom spring conference and PROKOM.

It features five important new capabilities: the DITA structure is already integrated as standard. FrameMaker 8 with XML Unicode and InDesign are available in the standard system in the new version. The new version is fully VISTA-compatible and now supports the publishing process for WebHelp. These are important functions for further advancing the industrialisation of the editorial process in technical documentation.

In addition, the tekom spring conference and PROKOM will feature initial customer experiences of using TIM-RS with FrameMaker 8. Fischer Computertechnik will also present practical experiences from various customers with TIM-RS variant management and bill-of-materials-driven publishing.
