Editor-in-chief of DIGITAL PRODUCTION, Matthias J Lange, will be the project manager for the animago AWARD

Munich, 29.04.2009 – With Matthias J Lange (40) as new project manager for the most important animation award and best-known competition within the digital content creation branch – the animago AWARD – there is now a new face for the new concept.

“Nowadays, digital content creation is very important,” says Matthias J Lange. “With the new concept for the animago AWARD, we are highlighting its importance in the real world even more.” The animago AWARD recognises the best digital productions in 11 different categories, including the best advertising production, best post-production, best film production and the best game design. The awards ceremony takes place at the end of October in the Studio Babelsberg, in Potsdam.

Matthias J Lange has been editor-in-chief of the trade journal DIGITAL PRODUCTION since 1 June 2007. The magazine has been arranging the competition for the last 13 years. DIGITAL PRODUCTION is the leading trade magazine for post-production and visualisation and is published by Reed Business Information GmbH.

After working as a freelancer, trainee and editor at the Münchner Merkur in Fürstenfeldbruck, Munich and Bonn, Matthias J Lange became press officer at the Chamber of Trade for Munich and Upper Bavaria before working as managing editor for PC Professionell and at redtec publishing. Here, he was editor-in-chief of the 3D magazine Creative Live and also editor-in-chief of the MACup, which is now published by the Neue Mediengesellschaft Ulm.
