animago AWARD 2009: Competition for digital content and animation extends entry deadline

Closing date extended to 31 July. Awards will take place at the end of October at Studio Babelsberg

The closing date for submissions to the animago AWARD 2009 has been extended until 31 July 2009. This means that artists now have more time to take part in the most important German-language digital content creation (DCC) competition.

In 2009, the animago AWARD will be hosted for the 13th time by the industry magazine DIGITAL PRODUCTION. The new competition concept builds on the further technical development of the DCC section and demonstrates the growing international importance of this industry. The aim is to achieve more transparency in the different categories and even more renown for the winners.

Eligibility requirements for the most important DCC competition

This year, the winners will be selected by an expert jury from the following 11 categories:

Best Advertising Production

Best Mobile Production

Best Interactive Production

Best Game Design

Best Short Film

Best Film Production

Best Visualisation

Best Virtual Photo (Still)

Best Young Production

Jury’s Prize

Best Post Production

The animago AWARD actively promotes young talent in the DCC industry: the winner of the category “Best Young Production” will be awarded with a grant for € 3,000. All 11 winners will receive the renowned animago trophy.

Artists can register for the animago AWARD 2009 via www.animago.com closing date for submissions is 31 July 2009. Entry is free and open to everyone.
