Mackevision sponsors animago 2009

Mackevision Medien Design is sponsoring this year’s animago AWARD.

Munich, 25.05.2009 – Mackevision, one of the leading companies in 3D visualisation, animation, visual effects and post-production, is supporting the animago AWARD 2009.

Mackevision will sponsor the animago AWARD in the category ‘Best Visualisation’ in 2009. Here, CGI productions from the categories of still, film or interactive will be assessed according to their concept, didactics and technical realisation. Mackevision hopes to promote both the excellent opportunity for industry networking as well as the event’s ‘community character’.

“The awards represent an impressive exhibition for the entire industry and are a highlight for us every year,” says president Armin Pohl. “We are excited to see what the industry will present this year and are looking forward to establishing plenty of new and interesting contacts.” Mackevision itself was an animago AWARD-winner in several categories in previous years. “Through its support of the community, we are very pleased that Mackevision has shown for some time now how important the animago AWARD is for the industry. We are happy to have such a competent partner by our side,” comments animago project manager Matthias J Lange. “Mackevision is the ideal partner – especially in the category ‘Best Visualisation’!”

The animago AWARD is the most important animation award as well as the most renowned competition for the digital content creation industry in Germany. This year, the animago AWARD will be sponsored by the media board Berlin-Brandenburg for the first time. From animations for film, TV and advertising, to short films, industry productions and ambitious home productions – more than 10,000 entries have measured themselves against the international competition at the animago AWARD so far.

This year, entries can be submitted until 30 June 2009 for free via www.animago.com. A leading specialist jury will select the best entries in 11 categories and, in some categories, will select the winners together with an expert audience. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the end of October.

About the animago AWARD and DIGITAL PRODUCTION:

The animago AWARD has been awarding the best digital content creation (DCC) productions since 1997. The impressive exhibition documents what creative talents can achieve with current technology. Films such as ‘Ratatouille’, virtual worlds like ‘Second Life’, video games such as ‘World of Warcraft’ and almost all advertisements would not be possible without animations. Every year, the competition is organised by DIGITAL PRODUCTION, the leading industry magazine for post-production and visualisation in the German-speaking world.

Publisher of DIGITAL PRODUCTION is Reed Business Information GmbH (RBI, www.rbi.de), a subsidiary of the leading global specialist publisher Reed Elsevier plc. Reed Business is the international Business-to-Business division of Reed Elsevier.
