animago CONFERENCE 2009 – come and join 3D in Babelsberg

For the first time, the animago AWARD will take place as part of the two-day training event ‘animago CONFERENCE’

Munich 07.07.2009 – The most important award in the European animation industry is expanding with the two-day training and framework programme ‘animago CONFERENCE’. On the 29. and 30. October, the fx.Center will become the focal point of the international animation and post-production industry.

For the creative minds, decision makers and freelancers of the media industry and other sectors, the animago team 2009 – in conjunction with Lichtblick 4d – will host the first animago CONFERENCE in Babelsberg, on 29. and 30. October. The creators of the successful Meet & Greet-Festivals in Berlin will cooperate closely on the programme planning for the two-day animago CONFERENCE. The animago CONFERENCE will take place in Studio Babelsberg thanks to sponsorship from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.

The animago CONFERENCE offers an attractive programme with over 20 national and international speakers. In addition, there will be workshops and master classes, where experts will present new software, including a planned demonstration of modern motion capturing technology from Germany. Motion capturing is a technique that allows human movements to be recorded and converted into a format that is readable for computers. This allows movements to be analysed and transferred to computer-generated 3D models. The aim of the event is to get different communities – from architects to game developers to TV producers – together at one table in Babelsberg.

The highlight of the animago CONFERENCE will be the evening of 29 October, when DIGITAL PRODUCTION will present the animago AWARD for the 13th time. This is the most significant award in the European animation and post-production industry, rewarding the most creative media productions in areas such advertising, game design, film and post-production, among others.
