The UHD clip was recorded at 23.98 frames per second in ProRes 444, while the slow-motion shots were filmed at 59.94 frames per second in ProRes 422. AJA released the material without any colour correction or brightness adjustments.
We have already reported here on the specifications of the first AJA camera, which was actually supposed to be delivered in the summer, at this point. According to the manufacturer, the camera will cost 8,995 US dollars.
AJA has also announced that Adobe Premiere Pro CC will support the AJA CION RAW format in future.
The images from the camera are good to look at even without any post-processing. We will test whether the results shown live up to what they promise in one of the upcoming DP issues.
