Specifically, at Messe Stuttgart in Hall 1 (L-Bank Forum) from June 25 to 26, 2016. The first event of this kind began in San Diego in 1970 with just 300 visitors. There are now Comic Cons in many US cities, attracting up to 100,000 visitors annually.

Comic Con Germany is set to launch with a wide-ranging programme: The organisers want to delight fans with up to 30 Hollywood actors from various TV series and films, who will be available for autograph sessions and photos.

The first confirmations included James Marsters, known for the role of platinum-blond vampire Spike in the series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, and Robert Picardo from “Star Trek Voyager” and “Stargate Atlantis”. More stars will follow in the coming weeks and months; in addition to sci-fi and fantasy greats, the focus will – naturally – be on performers from superhero adaptations.

Tickets for the weekend cost 30 euros; a day ticket is available for 17 euros.
