What Felix can do so far

Anyone who wants to quickly assemble a 3D scene such as a product shot or an abstract work of art can avoid the complex 3D workflow with Felix. 3D models can simply be dragged into the scene and combined with a light. Users then select a background—done.

Felix automatically detects the horizon line and provides corresponding guides for positioning the models. To generate suitable lighting, the app takes the background into account. Camera angles and perspective can be changed using selection and camera tools. Via buttons, sliders, and setting options, users can adjust details such as the material’s gloss and the light intensity. The works can then be rendered out and loaded into Photoshop CC for the final touch. The underlying render core comes from the Chaos Group and its V-Ray render engine.

Free library

Felix has a free starter library with models, materials, and lights. In addition, 3D and 2D assets can be obtained from Adobe Stock, which users can save in the Adobe Creative Cloud Library and reuse in Felix.

Real-time preview

According to Adobe, the composed designs can be previewed in real time. This lets users experiment with the look without having to export a rendering. A magnified view for examining details is also available to users.
