DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor | Release

What the little brother of the Resolve Editing Keyboard can do.

New hardware from Blackmagic

Just yesterday we told you about the release of Blackmagic’s all-rounder software DaVinci 17, but Blackmagic’s desire to release software knows no bounds, as two hardware releases are already knocking on the door: the Resolve Speed Editor Console and the Fairlight Desktop Console. Below we take a look at the Resolve Speed Editor Console.

Resolve Speed Editor Console

For those not (yet) in the know: the Speed Editor is an input device for DaVinci Resolve’s Cut Page. The benefit: you can cut and edit your material more quickly.

Looking at the Blackmagic product family, the Speed Editor can be seen as the little brother of the Resolve Editing Keyboard – but the range of functions is by no means smaller. The QWERTY keyboard has been removed, but some of the buttons now have a double assignment. Clarity is paramount here, as the aim is to achieve the same functionality with less button clutter. The built-in Bluetooth function puts an end to cable clutter. If your computer doesn’t have Bluetooth, you can also connect the Speed Editor via USB.

Everything else

If you are now curious about the other design options with Speed Editor, you can quench your thirst for knowledge by reading the corresponding product page at Blackmagic.
