Nuke 13 | Release

Features with a nuclear punch? Machine learning, Hydra 3D viewport renderer and more.

Nuke 13

The Foundry releases Nuke 13, including a machine learning toolset, a new Hydra 3D viewport renderer, enhanced monitor-out capabilities and support for Python 3.

Machine learning

The Foundry names three components as the most important of the machine learning toolset: CopyCat (a shot-specific approach that allows you to create customised models), Inference (a node that executes the networks generated by CopyCat and applies the model to the image sequence) and Upscale and Deblur (two tools for compositing tasks – based on the ML methodology from CopyCat and the open source ML server). Not bad: The ML networks for these nodes can be refined with CopyCat).
