3DF Zephyr 6.5 is released

Do you want to enter the world of photogrammetry in a cost-conscious way? Then you should take a look at the software from 3Dflow.

In nuce: 3Dflow releases 3DF Zephyr 6.5, the latest version of its photogrammetry and 3D modelling software.

What can 3DF Zephyr 6.5 do? With its many new functions, the new version makes you curious to try out 3DF Zephyr. Let’s take a quick look at it:

  • Unity’s ArtEngine is supported. ArtEngine is a tool used to create materials within Unitys. You can find out more about ArtEngine at unity.com.
  • A new addition: the orthophoto editor. Orthophotos are based on aerial or satellite images that reproduce the earth’s surface to scale. The orthophoto editor is now helpful if you want to further edit certain image areas. This is particularly useful for image areas that have failed in the underlying photogrammetry and therefore require subsequent improvements.
  • You also have the option of creating animated videos with your 3D models. The highlight: this process runs automatically.
  • A special feature for VFX artists: You can extract the scanned images in USD format.
  • Last but not least: The calculation time and precision of vertical image elements has been increased (e.g. towering skyscrapers, soaring towers or other similar structures). A new preset is available especially for this purpose.
