According to a current study by market-research institute Gartner, the number of mobile web users is expected to rise to 350 million over the next two years. Mobile web, content and advertising as a supplement to the traditional “print” medium is therefore also the topic of the fifth Mobile Content Day, which will take place on September 14, 2007 in the stylish surroundings of the old coffee exchange in Hamburg’s warehouse district. Several daily newspapers, trade magazines and online publishers have already recognized that mobile applications increase sales of their editions. With high-caliber panels, the event is aimed primarily at the publishing industry and the agency world.
The digital age has dawned. Is paper dying out, or can paper and digital media information routes coexist profitably? These questions will be discussed and answered in the morning with representatives from the mobile and publishing industry in the “Mobile Internet” panel. First, an expert from the Hans Bredow Institute will explain media-use behavior in converging media environments using a current research project.
Other content at Hamburg’s Mobile Content Day includes “Age Verification Systems as Market Accelerators”, “Publishing in the Tightest Space” and “Mobile Technology of Tomorrow”. Finally, legal aspects of the new mobile information channels will also be discussed.
Congress tickets for 250,- euros.
