The new procedural modelling system works closely with Modo’s modelling toolset, allowing much freer iteration during the modelling process, more variations to be created in a shorter period of time and necessary changes to be addressed without having to start again from scratch.
Traditionally, modelling in Modo is performed directly on the mesh, so changes that have already been made could no longer be reversed – which makes Modo one of the fastest freeform tools on the market. For special modelling processes, however, changes have to be used to create variations, which is now possible in the new version. This means that two diferent modelling approaches are now available in Modo.
