Rohan Dalvi is known on Vimeo for his tutorials, especially on Houdini by SideFX and the various render plug-ins. He has now started a new tutorial series intended as an introduction to Houdini, which he wants to expand by one video every Saturday. He has now already published four chapters – starting with the interface (1), procedural workflows in Houdini (2), modelling (3) and creating a digital asset (4). He uses Houdini version 16 and higher. Below you will find the tutorials uploaded so far.

Chapter 2 – Procedrual Workflows in Houdini

In this video, Rohan explains the procedural approach in Houdini, why it is talked about so much and what advantages result from it.

Chapter 3 – Modelling

In this next chapter, Rohan devotes himself to the subject of modelling in Houdini. You will learn the basics of working with geometry at SOP level and see how to modell a simple object.

Chapter 4 – Creating a Digital Asset
